Insha-Allah some detailed guidelines for widows will be posted at a later stage. Presently the following points should be adhered to:
1. Together with punctuality of Salaah, she should be punctual on recitation of the Quraan Majeed. She should also try to complete one tasbeeh each of istighfaar, durood shareef and the third kalimah daily.
2. She should read the kitaab, Fazaa’il e Sadaqaat by Shaikhul Hadith Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahimahullah), as well as Fazaa’il e A`amaal by the same author.
Other books that we suggest are:
1)    Behisti Zewar (Heavenly Ornaments) – Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanwi (rahimahullah).
2)    Seerat e Mustapha (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) – Moulana Idris Khandalwi (rahimahullah).
3)    The discourses of Mufti Mahmood Hassan Gangohi (rahimahullah) and Moulana Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Saheb (mudda zilluhu).
3. She should totally avoid the media. Besides being very depressing, it is also a means of incitement to many wrongs, especially the TV, newspaper, magazines etc.
May Allah Ta`ala accept your efforts for his pleasure and keep you in his protection, Aameen.
Allah Taala knows best
