Four Qualities of a Pious Wife

Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “After the Taqwa (fear) of Allah Ta’ala, there is no favour that a believer may enjoy better than a pious wife. If he instructs her she obeys him, if he looks towards her, she brings delight to him, if he takes an oath for her to do something she carries it out and if he is away from her (on a journey, etc.) she acts in good faith regarding her personal self and his wealth” (Ibnu Maajah #1857).

This Hadith outlines four qualities of a pious wife:

1) Whenever the husband instructs her to do something lawful, she carries it out. She is an obedient wife. 

2) When the husband looks towards her she brings him joy. This is only possible if her ways and habits are according to his liking (within the boundaries of Deen), and she tries to keep his heart happy. If a woman makes it her habit to be very moody and pull up her face for every petty issue, the husband will start regarding it as a calamity to come home after a long day at work.

3) When the husband takes an oath that the wife should do a certain action, then she carries it out. Out of love he takes an oath and out of love she fulfills that oath to keep him happy. This is due to that special bond that they enjoy. 

4) When the husband goes somewhere and he is away from the wife, she remains faithful regarding herself and his wealth. She does not have any form of relationship with strange men and she does not squander the husband’s wealth. She conducts herself as she would in his presence. This is true loyalty.

A pearl is hidden in an oyster deep down in the ocean- a priceless treasure! So too a women with all her beauty is to remain in the protection of her home. It offers her safety and security away from the evils and fitan of the world. Women are ornaments of concealment. The knowledge of Deen enhances her beauty and modesty since Islam gives her a pedestal no other religion gives to women. She is the queen of her home. She serves her husband and children for the pleasure of Allah Ta'ala  and makes her home a garden of paradise for them.

Having a Muslim Mind

There are many Muslims in the world with Muslim names. However there are very few amongst them with Muslim minds. The education system designed by the disbelievers as well as the various forms of media which are controlled by them are all structured to mould and shape our minds and  to control our way of thinking. It is imperative that we break out of this slavery of mankind and enter into the service of one Allah Ta’ala. Listen to the talks of our pious Ulama and read their books. Choose the company of pious women. Hearts will move hearts.

Recipe to Success

1) Protect the gaze from falling on strange men, your heart will be at ease.

2) Bring qualities into your life and become valuable.

3) Make an effort on the upbringing of your children and secure the coolness to your eyes.

4) Spend in the path of Allah Ta’ala or else it may be wasted in extravagance.

5) Cover yourself according to the spirit of Sharee’ah and enjoy protection.

6) Keep Jannat in front of you and continue doing good.

7) Fulfill the rights of others and enjoy a happy social life.
